Venting Requirements:

• Approved Venting Sizes:
  • Standard 5" x 8" venting, reducible to 4" x 6-5/8" for vertical termination only.
• Horizontal Termination:
  • Minimum Setup: 12” vertical vent pipe + 90° elbow + vent cap.
  • Maximum Setup: 25’ vertical vent pipe + 90° elbow + 25’ horizontal vent pipe + vent cap.
• Vertical Termination:
  • Minimum Height: 3’ + vent cap.
  • Maximum Height: 50’ + vent cap.
• Elbow Usage:
  • Subtract 3’ from maximum vent length for each additional 90° elbow after the first.
  • Subtract 1.5’ for each additional 45° elbow after the first.
  • Note: Two 45° elbows are equivalent to one 90° elbow.
• Approved Vent Systems:
  • BDM™, American Metal™ Products (Amerivent), Metal Fab™, ICC™, Simpson Dura-Vent™, Selkirk.
